This set of heifers are as good as any I've been around...

  • Would love to be able to keep them (original plan) but unfortunately since I purchased them I have lost my lease for next year therefore I am marketing them as bred heifers in hopes they go to someone looking to add/start a quality herd.
  • I purchased them the 1st of June from a single source Ranch in South Dakota. They are purebred (no papers) Hereford. When I got them they weighed an average of 825# and were sold due to drought conditions as the original owner had plans to keep them as replacements in his herd. Attached are the health records on these cattle prior to me purchasing them, and upon arrival I gave them 5cc of virashield 6vl5 and 9cc of long range.
  • I turned 3 Registered Bieber Ranch (South Dakota)Red Angus lbw bulls in with these cattle on June 6th and pulled them on August 20th (75 days) which will have them start calving 3/15/23 and end on 5/29/23 (attached picture of 2 of 3 bulls). Since owning them they have been running on lush pasture and have been given 2-3 lbs of a cracked corn/gluten mix feed each day. At the current time I would guesstimate the average weight to be around 975#.
  • The disposition of these cattle are extremely docile and will follow you anywhere with a bucket of feed. My plans for these cattle are to sell them through a local livestock market at a bred cow\/heifer sale in late November or early December. There are a total of 55 head. They have not been preg checked as I am planning to do so at the time of the sale. At this time if I were to sell them privately as a group I would ask $2,200/head for those that are bred and could have them preg checked for someone wanting to purchase them off the farm.
  • I would prefer to sell them as one group instead of splitting them up but may be open to negotiation. I am also planning to sell them under the contingency that I would be extremely interested in any of the heifer calves as future replacements to my herd (primarily Red Angus). The cattle are located in Centerville Iowa and would love to show them to you if you are interested in seeing them. Please feel free to email or call with any questions (641-895-1612)....MW
