Gripple on barbed wire...
.
n..Gripple is a connector, splice, and tensioner for use on all types of wire.
  • Gripple eliminates the need for stretchers, ratchets, crimps, crimping tools, wire splices, and tying wire by hand.
  • It operates like a Chinese finger trap with one-way locking channels.
  • The wire passes through the Gripple in one direction, then ceramic rollers and steel springs lock the wire and prevent it from going back the other way.
  • To prevent rust and corrosion on the exterior, the housing of the Gripple is composed of a zinc-aluminum alloy.  Internally, ceramic rollers are used to combat rust and corrosion.

n..The Gripple Tensioning Tool tightens the wire through the Gripple...
  • Pull the handles away from each other to open the cam, grab the end of the wire that's to be pulled through the Gripple, butt the jaw of the tool up against the Gripple, then crank the handles of the tool together.  This tightens the wire.
  • The tool is gear-driven and can supply 880 lbs of tension.
  • The tool is made of glass-filled nylon, so it's very light-weight and durable.
  • The tool is 100% guaranteed.
  • Because of the small size and light weight of the tool, it can easily be carried on foot, horseback, truck, tractor, or atv.

Using Gripples on 17 strand deer fence...
.
n..Gripples significantly reduce time and labor inputs because the wires are not hand-tied...
  • Gripples have a very important application on deer farms, goat ranches, and hunting ranches.
  • Gripple comes in the following sizes:
    • Gripple Barb Wire (12.5 gauge barb wire)
    • Gripple Small (17 - 14 gauge smooth)
    • Gripple Medium (14 - 10 gauge smooth, 15.5 gauge barb wire)
    • Gripple Large (10 - 7.5 gauge smooth)
.
.
This is the Gripple brace post cable...
.
n..It is 5/32", 16.5 ft long, 7 strands of 7 wires with a class 3 galvanization...
  • The cable is used with a Large Gripple and is rated at 1,320 lbs of load.
  • Use the Gripple Tensioning Tool to tighten the cable.
  • The Gripple brace post cable can be strung in less than 1 minute!
  • It saves lots of time and labor in comparison to the traditional way of twisting wire to brace corner posts.
.

.
.
n..The Gripple T-Clip eliminates the need to hand-tie at end post and corner posts...
  • Use with staples to get the ultimate secure attachment at end posts for field fence and barb wire.
  • The Gripple T-Clip works on the same wire as the Medium Gripple (14 - 10 gauge smooth, 15.5 gauge barb wire).
  • There will be a T-Clip that works on 12.5 gauge barb wire available this summer.
.

.
.
n..This field fence was constructed and tensioned entirely with Gripple T-Clips, Medium Gripples, and the Gripple Tensioning Tool...
  • No stretchers, ratchets, come-alongs, or tractors used to pull the slack.
  • If something hits the fence, like a bull, limb, or truck, and causes natural slack, the Gripple Tensioning Tool can be used to go back and retighten the wires... No new wire or splices needed.

.
n..In the Dallas area, Texas Panhandle, and Eastern New Mexico, Gripples can be purchased at all Gebo's Farm and Ranch Stores.
  • If you can't find Gripples in your area, ask your local farm and ranch retailer to start carrying Gripples.
