Field Rep Requirements...
  • Knowledge of the cattle industry
  • A sincere belief in the merit of The Cattle Range marketing concept
  • Ability to communicate with cattlemen and introduce a new marketing option
  • The initiative to generate listings
  • What The Cattle Range Expects of its Field Reps...
    • We expect our Field Reps to invest a sufficient amount of time and effort to generate listings...  What that amount of time will be depends upon the individual.  The income from an hour’s work on The Cattle Range can greatly exceed what most Field Reps earn per hour at their regular employment or endeavor, and accordingly, it will be advantageous for Field Reps to invest as much time as possible.  Bear in mind that Field Reps don't have a designated territory. This allows them to take advantage of their contacts in other areas.
    • New Field Reps are subject to a 60-day provisional period during which time Field Rep will be required to submit at least 2 cattle listings totaling at least 50 head.
    • All Field Reps are subject to semi-annual listing quotas.  The current 6-month quota is a minimum of 6 listings totaling at least 300 head. There are 2 valid reasons for quotas...
      • From our perspective, a Field Rep that does not meet or exceed the quota either devoted little or no time to The Cattle Range or is a person not well known or accepted in the local cattle industry, and accordingly, is not the type of person The Cattle Range is seeking as a Field Rep.
      • A non-productive Field Rep not only generates little or no activity, but also effectively ties up an area because qualified persons will likely not inquire about becoming a Field Rep if the website shows the area already has a Field Rep.
    • The quota system is explained in the "Business Agreement", which governs the business relationship between The Cattle Range and its Field Reps.
